Our Story
Hi! I’m Dr. Nancy Franklin. I'm a dermatologist and breast cancer survivor with over 35 years of experience treating skin diseases.
During my own radiation treatments, I developed a severe case of radiation dermatitis - often referred to as “radiation burns." I learned firsthand how painful and uncomfertable this condition can be, compounding an already stressful time.
My experience inspired me to create Rad Remedy, a patent-pending radiation relief cream. Rad Remedy incorporates plant-based and natural ingredients that have been demonstrated in clinical studies to decrease the duration and severity of radiation dermatitis, as well as soothe and relieve symptoms.

Why Rad Remedy is Different
There is no standard treatment for radiation dermatitis. Most patients are advised to use a daily moisturizer or, as the rash worsens, to “try something with calendula.” I was determined to improve upon existing radiation relief creams. After much investigation, always following the science, I decided to include these new, exciting ingredients:

Rad Remedy contains calendula oil and calendula CO2 extract. The CO2 extraction process creates a more concentrated and potent extract with a wider range of beneficial compounds that account for calendula's tremendous skin soothing properties. Other radiation relief creams do not contain calendula CO2 extract.
In a clinical trial of 180 breast cancer patients, EGCG, the primary compound in green tea, was shown to significantly reduce the incidence and severity of radiation dermatitis.
Ceramides lipids help repair your skin barrier, which is damaged after radiation treatments.
Our patent pending formula features B-silk™, a new silk protein that forms a protectve barrier over the skin, helping to maintain skin integrity and lock in moisture.

What we do not include
During my research, I discovered that many radiation relief creams on the market contain liquid plastics. These substances are not biodegradable and may be contaminated with hormone-disrupting chemicals and carcinogens.
I was determined to create a radiation relief cream free of liquid plastics as well as other harmful ingredients, including petrochemicals, sulfates, parabens, and phthalates.
We didn't stop with the cream
Rad Remedy is packaged in a tube made of sugarcane, free of harmful phthalates, and bisphenols (like BPA) found in traditional plastics.
My hope for you is that Rad Remedy will help keep your treatments on track, minimize this potentially unpleasant experience, and help you to feel whole again as soon as possible.
