Ceramides

Ceramides are lipid molecules that help repair the damaged skin barrier preventing water loss from the skin, also known as TEWL “transepidermal water loss.” In clinical studies of patients receiving radiation therapy, TEWL increases were associated with more severe and longer lasting radiation dermatitis.

EGCG (From Green Tea)

In a clinical trial involving 180 breast cancer patients, EGCG—the primary compound in green tea—was shown to significantly reduce the incidence and severity of radiation dermatitis.

Aloe Vera

A review of 14 clinical trials, totaling 1572 patients, concluded that use of aloe vera was associated with a significant reduction in the incidence and severity of radiation dermatitis.

Rad Remedy contains decolorized aloe vera—the safest and purest form of the leaf juice.

Calendula

In a clinical study, patients undergoing radiation therapy who applied calendula had fewer incidences of radiation dermatitis than a group using a traditional substance. Furthermore, these patients had fewer interruptions in treatment and less discomfort.

Moringa

We are the first radiation cream to incorporate Moringa. Why is this significant? Moringa has been used for centuries to support and relieve various skin conditions. Modern scientific research now confirms its ability to moisturize, enhance skin barrier function, and relieve irritated skin.

Moisturizing the skin is routinely recommended for patients undergoing radiation treatments. Moisturizing has been shown to delay the occurrence and reduce the severity of radiation dermatitis. Furthermore, it can help alleviate the symptoms of radiation dermatitis. That's why include superior moisturizing ingredients in Rad Remedy.
